  1. What tests are available for Urticaria?
    TSH levels for Thyroid?
Allergy test? See an Allergist or Immunologist
    The Autologous Serum Skin Test
    Lupus?
You should ask your doctor to check your blood (lab tests)for the levels and function of specific blood cells and proteins.

Could anti-immunoglobulin E therapy be successful in treating patients with Urticaria? If you have Urticaria and been treated with this therapy we want to hear from you?

What about deficiency of the C1 inhibitor protein? Review the article written by Dr. Daniel Hogan. Have you been tested for this?

The biggest trigger of urticaria is aspartame (NutraSweet, Equal/Spoonful, Canderel, Benevia, E951, etc.).

It would be interesting to know how many on this blog use aspartame, and how many no longer have urticaria when they abstain. Information is in Aspartame Disease: An Ignored Epidemic, www.sunsentpress.com by H. J. Roberts, M.D., 1000 page medical text.

  2. Dr. Martini,
On my husband's urticaria. He did not drink any products that contained asparatame, nutrasweet,or any other kinds of "this" product at the age of 15 or 16 when his urticaria began. There are studies of infants with urticaria. Thanks for our reply.
